Ramblings from the author

Grunge work getting done slowly, now I'm thinking it would be neat to make a music video or two. This obviously would just be for show and nothing else. Still working on gathering everything up to send to a couple of labels. Hope runs high but expectation is sitting on E thus far. I think it's past time to get a show set up and done. Before Thanksgiving? Taking everything one baby-step at a time. I would love to see some support - it's what keeps me going.

Finished Album

Ok now that the fun part is done, it's time to dive into the dirty work. I have to make the decision of whether or not the 14 tracks I have for this album should be mastered or not and get everything together to send a demo into a couple of record companies and try to get picked up by a label. A lot of work has gone into this album and just when you think you can sit back and enjoy the work and time you've put into something you have to get up again and push yourself out there to be noticed. Hopefully I can set up a couple of shows before this year is up and have a little fun with what I have because all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Rust

An old song I did called "Rust" is currently being revamped. I'm liking the results quite a bit. It's much much more epic. I'm excited to see what you guys think.

Getting my Junk out there...

Sent out a couple of EP's to 88.1 WKNC. One to the local music director and one to the underground music director. Maybe I can get heard on one of those slots...

Also sending demos to Metropolis and Dependent. It's hard figuring out the exact tracks and order I want to put them in though.

Junkyard Apocalypse' first ever official EP has now been finished and mastered! Featuring artwork by Josh Gordon.

Junky Brewster
features six tracks:

Brainscan

There are two versions. The Rust Version and Frost Version. Each contain different cover art colorization and 2 bonus tracks exclusive to each version.

On the Rust Version the bonus tracks are:
Pig In The City (Demo Version)
You'd Like To Think That (Instrumental)

On the Frost Version the bonus tracks are:
Samhain
A Burning Scythe (Instrumental Version)

You can hear the entire demo up on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/junkyardapocalypse

These are a mere $3 each right now.
If interested in a copy of one or both, you can shoot me an email at junkyardapocalypse@gmail.com

This is a very exciting time for me and I'm ready to complete some songs I've been working on for the next project but I've been needing to get my facebook rolling along as well as this blog. I'm going to be busy trying to get a lineup of shows ready as well.

We'll see how it all goes. These EP's are printed off in my own apartment and packaged in slim cases. While it's the cheap route, I'm doing the best I can by manufacturing these myself without having to spend thousands of dollars on getting these manufactured by a record printing company. It's not like I'm trying to be the next big thing and get yet another loan to mass produce something that's probably not going to take off that well right now anyways. I just want to make sure my music gets out there and hope to maybe gain a small cult following. We'll see.

March 13th/EGO LIKENESS

We will be playing before the great Ego Likeness, a very respectable band in the underground scene. Also playing will be "The Ludovico Technique" and "America's Most Rotten". Should be a complimentary mix.

Doors open at 7PM and All ages are welcome.

$12 Presale/ $15 Day Of Show.

Also, my first official release "Junky Brewster" will hopefully be for sale.

They will be $3 each and I am hoping to have two slightly different versions out. Rust and Frost. They will feature the same songs but each will contain a bonus track unique to each version.
